City areas
Draguignan has some of the best open areas in the region. The natural parks are protected by law, and make for a good place to stroll or hike. The beauty of the region and the picturesque scenery also make this a good place for scenic photography.
Astois Park
There are several large pieces of parkland in this area of the country that have been protected by the government because they are not only stunningly beautiful, but contain a great many relatively rare examples of plants and animals that aren’t easily seen all over the country. This unique environment is obviously a great place for ramblers and walkers to carefully trek across and to see the best views of the countryside.
Prannes Park
There is very little that compares to the beauty and majesty of the French countryside, and this large protected area of country park is a popular place for people of the town and visitors to the area to go to relax and escape the stresses and noises of the modern age. It is an extremely interesting place if you are fascinated by creatures and animals, because many of the things you’ll find in the park are not found in many other parts of the region.
